Convert Direct is a free online video downloader and converter for .FLV files from YouTube.
The Convert Direct concept is very simple - find a video on YouTube and paste the address into the URL box. Convert Direct then offers you two options - either download the video directly as .FLV, or convert it to a variety of formats. If you choose the latter, you'll have to enter an email address to get the converted file.
There are no configuration options available when using Convert Direct, but it does support a good variety of output formats, including audio-only and portable formats. Unfortunately, in our tests, Convert Direct completely failed to work despite trying various videos, URLS, computers and operating systems.
You might have better luck using Convert Direct, but even if it functions exactly as described, it's still a very basic tool that seriously lacks options. If at all possible, look elsewhere for your video conversion needs.
